Solution: Creating an easy-to-use interactive website for a local small business involves key considerations for both functionality and appearance. My main goal was to improve user experience, boost engagement, and increase sales. Here are the important steps I took in the design process:
Learn about the local community's demographics and preferences.
Outline the main goals of the website, such as increasing brand awareness, enabling online sales, or providing product information.
Ensure navigation has a clear menu structure. Categories are organized logically to help users find what they need quickly.
Allow users to filter products by categories, prices, or other criteria.
Make the design reflect the brand's identity with suitable colors, fonts, and images. Use high-resolution images for products that can be zoomed in for better detail. Maintained consistency throughout the site to strengthen brand recognition and improve usability.
Create a simple and secure checkout process.
